In the year that marks the centenary of the Orpheu magazine, “the first modern cry delivered in Portugal”, BOCA and Casa Fernando Pessoa publish the bilingual edition We, the Orpheu lot.
It includes the catalog of Casa Fernando Pessoa’s homonymous exhibition and a literary anthology of Orpheu and post-Orpheu. These texts also appear on both CDs that accompany the book, interpreted by a group of 20 performers (actors, poets, musicians).
The aim is thus help fulfill one of the purposes of the Orpheu’s poets: to take their art abroad. And of course, do justice to Fernando Pessoa’s prophecy: “Orpheu is over. Orpheu lives on.”
The edition has the support of IELT – Instituto de Estudos de Literatura e Tradição and of Camões – Instituto da Cooperação e da Língua.
